Neurotoxin Treatments
Neurotoxins are injectable medications derived from botulinum toxin type A that are used to temporarily relax targeted facial muscles. By reducing muscle contraction, neurotoxins soften dynamic facial lines and help prevent the formation of deeper static wrinkles over time.
These treatments are commonly used for facial balancing and for the management of muscle-dominant aging patterns.

How Neurotoxins Work
Neurotoxins block the release of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction, which temporarily prevents the treated muscle from contracting. This results in visible softening of expression-related wrinkles while preserving natural facial movement when properly dosed.
Initial effects are typically seen within 3–5 days, with full results developing by 10–14 days.
What to Expect
Treatment involves a series of small injections using a fine needle. The procedure is typically brief and requires no significant downtime. Mild redness, swelling, or localized bruising may occur at injection sites and generally resolves within a few hours to a few days.
Patients are advised to avoid strenuous activity, lying flat, or massaging treated areas for several hours following treatment.
Duration of Results
Results typically last 3 to 4 months, depending on individual metabolism, muscle strength, and treatment area. Maintenance treatments are required to sustain results.
Safety Information
Neurotoxin injections are contraindicated in patients with certain neuromuscular disorders and are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. A thorough consultation and medical history review are required prior to treatment.
